Registration Information​

Goal:  This tournament is a qualifier for the 2026 National Senior Games.

Location: Evanston Township High School, Evanston IL

​

Time: Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM 

​

Deadline to register: May 20, 2026

Registration Process for Teams 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

 

You will register through the Illinois Senior Games office.

Registration Process for Teams 40-49

​

Teams in this age category will NOT register through the IL Senior Olympics office.

Age Brackets: Men's and women's teams in age brackets 

40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+:

Number of Teams

​

The tournament is open to 8 teams per age category.  Be sure to register early to assure a spot in the tournament.

Player Age Requirements 

 

• A player must be the age under which the team is registered in 2026. Example: a player must be age 40 by December 31, 2026 to play on a 40-49 team. 55 to play on a 55-59 team, etc.

• Players can play down but cannot play up.  For example, an age 55 player can play down on a 50-54 team but cannot play up on a 60-64 team.

• Players should bring proof of age to the tournament should verification be necessary.

A player can only participate on one (1) team.

Team Volunteers

​

If we do not have enough volunteers to keep the time and the score, we will schedule teams to work on courts when they aren't playing.  You agree to this assignment when you sign up for the tournament. Thanks for your willingness to help out if necessary. 

 

Number of Players on Roster 

 

Team rosters can include up to 10 players.  A non-playing coach is allowed.    Players do not have to be present at the tournament in order to qualify.  However, their information must be complete and accurate on the registration form.  Medals will NOT BE AWARDED to players on the roster but not playing in the tournament.

Waiver Forms

Each player must sign two Waiver Forms (one for City of Evanston and one for Illinois Senior Games) prior to playing. Please allow extra time at the Registration table for this to happen.  The signed waiver is a requirement in order to participate in Hoops for the Ages.
